The City will honor the victims of the tannery fire at Gnecco & Grilk at its 60th anniversary on 2 p.m. Saturday, on May 18, at East End Veterans Memorial Park at 45 Walnut St. On May 14, 1964, an explosion and fire tore through the tannery, killing five and injuring half a dozen workers and contractors.
