LTE: People should behave respectably while using our parks

August 26, 2024 by To The Editor

To the editor:

On the morning of Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, there was a disturbing verbal exchange between a pickleball player and a neighborhood parent at Lakeshore Park.

I do not know the particulars, but from what I could hear and see from my yard a few hundred yards away, there was a player in an orange shirt spewing profanity at a resident of the neighborhood.
It should go without saying, but please conduct yourselves in a manner that is acceptable while using public spaces.
The park is for all residents, adults, and more importantly, for children.
Signed,
Mike Maxwell
