Peabody Veterans Memorial High School’s annual Career Day will be held Thursday, April 11 in the field house.
Held each spring, Career Day is an informal, non-threatening environment in which more than 50 local businesses set up exhibit booths, allowing students to get informational materials and ask questions about possible future vocations.
High-school students are allowed to explore the various trades and career paths represented in their community and are able to interact with representatives of those occupations throughout the day. Career Day helps create ties between the student body and the community at large.
The event is sponsored by the Peabody Education Foundation. PEF is currently looking for local businesses and nonprofit organizations to participate, saying, this is a great opportunity to share what your job/profession entails, educational requirements, and salary ranges with a group of individuals on the cusp of their future.
Coffee and pastry will be provided for exhibitors compliments of the PVMHS Culinary Arts program.
Access to the field house will be available starting at 8 a.m. For registered businesses, please check in at the registration desk for your booth assignment. All participants are requested to be at their assigned table by 8:45 a.m. A table and chair will be provided. Please bring your license or identification for check-in.
Exhibitors should proceed to the main entrance. To the left of this entrance there will be staff to direct you to which door to use. If you need to drop off equipment at the front, you can pull directly up to this entrance. There will be personnel directing you to the parking lot.
