A Christmas Carol

North Shore Music Theater

New England’s brightest holiday tradition! An original adaptation based on Charles Dickens’ classic novella, A CHRISTMAS CAROL is a musical ghost story following the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge through a series of strange and magical journeys, where he ultimately discovers the true spirit of the holiday season. Featuring dazzling special effects and traditional songs this award-winning production has been seen by more than one million people since its debut in 1989. Tickets can be purchased at nsmt.org.

Contracts Basics For Small Business Owners

The Enterprise Center at Salem State University 121 Loring Ave., Salem

8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Northeast Legal Aid, Inc. (NLA) staff attorneys will lead Contracts Basics for Small Business Owners. This in-person workshop will cover what every small business owner should know about contracts.

In this workshop, the presenters will:

· Explain why contracts are important for small businesses and give examples of how you may encounter them
· Share best practices of negotiating, drafting, and signing contracts as well as common missteps and how to avoid them
· Walk through the basic structure of a contract and break down key provisions
· Describe the essential elements that every contract must have and go over special legal rules for certain types of contracts

This informative workshop is offered at no cost and is being sponsored in partnership with the North Shore Alliance for Economic Development and the Massachusetts Office of Business Development (MOBD).

PACC Board of Directors Meeting

The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce is governed by a Board of Directors made up of representatives of member businesses and organizations throughout the community. This diverse group of volunteers brings a wealth of business and leadership experience to promote, build, and support the most effective business climate for our members.

Annually, a nominating committee identifies and selects candidates for open positions ensuring representation of membership and needs of the PACC. Board members are elected for a 3 year term, serving a maximum of 2 terms.

Holiday Open House

38 Felton St., Peabody

At this year’s annual open house at the historic Nathaniel Felton Jr. House, the Peabody Historical Society and Museum is partnering with the American Tapestry Project, inviting visitors to take part in a community stitching activity where you can participate in making history! Come tour our 17th century historic house which will be decorated for the holidays. While you are here, you can enjoy music and light refreshments. Visitors of all ages and skill levels are invited. Supplies and instruction will be provided by the state’s panel coordination team, led by Denise De More. Free to all.

Coffee Talks – Holiday Edition

Join us for a festive twist on our December Coffee Talks!
We’ll be gathering off-site at Community Covenant Church to showcase their beautiful event and meeting space—it just might be the perfect location for your next gathering.

To add a little holiday cheer, we’re introducing a special Yankee Swap with a local twist! When registering, you’ll have the option to participate by selecting the Yankee Swap for $25. We’ll use those funds to purchase gifts from local Chamber member businesses—supporting our community while making the morning extra merry!

When you arrive, if you’ve opted in, you’ll pick a wrapped gift and join in the fun of swapping, stealing, and sharing. It’s an easy and festive way to spread some holiday cheer while giving local businesses a boost.

Participation in the Yankee Swap is completely optional! Coffee Talks is always about connecting, building relationships, and supporting one another.
