FITCHBURG — Peabody’s Alex Jackson (discus: 187-06; shot put: 62-05.25) was a double-winner in this past weekend’s MIAA Meet of Champions, held at Elliot Field on the campus of Fitchburg State University. Alessandra Forgione of the Tanners took first place in the javelin throw (143-06).
It wrapped up a brilliant career in state competition for Jackson, who compiled 16 individual Divisional and Meet of Champion titles.
Areno Saint-Victor cracked the discus top 10 with a heave of 156-00. Madison Holleran placed 14th in discus (102-00) on the girls’ side. Omar Mishal finished 14th (57.21) in the 400m hurdles.
The boys’ 4×400 relay team of Henry Sawyer, Brian Stevens, Omar Mishal, Mohamed Lhassouani finished 14th in 3:24.99 to cap a new school record. Makayla Kokonezis cracked the top 20 in triple jump (34-01.50).
