During Saturday’s MSTCA State Coaches Invitational, St. John’s Prep was led by Henry McDonnell (3rd – mile – 4:21.18) and Leo Emerson (4th – 55mh – 7.79), while Peabody’s Mohamed Lhassouani took third in the 1,000m (2:36.75). Bishop Fenwick’s Adelaide Sweatman impressed in the 2-mile (11:54.06).
As for the Freshman Sophomore Invitational, the Tanners had themselves a day. Performing well were Avani Ingham (5th – 300m – 43.41), Lauren Foley (3rd – 1,000m – 3:04.61), Ella Braz (2nd – mile – 5:27.51), Zaiden Nazaire (11th – shot put – 39-9.75), and Claire Welton (5th – shot put – 30-3). The Prep was paced by Garrett Dodge (11th – 600m – 1:29.63), Michael Salemi (15th – long jump – 18-02.25), Will Figulski (12th – shot put – 39-9), and Vinny Graziani (17th – shot put – 37-0.50).

On a St. Mary’s Senior Night that celebrated Travis Smith, Shelia Pimentel, and Angelica Rodriguez Munoz, the Spartans took care of business against the Crusaders. Swimming well were Izzy Amodeo (1st – 200 and 500 freestyle), Smith (1st – 50 and 100 freestyle), Luka Kukolj (1st – 100 breaststroke), and the first-place freestyle relay team of Gabby Merchant, Amodeo, Smith, and Anastasia Botova. As for Fenwick, the 200 medley relay team of Caroline Blatchford, Riley Morin, Lucy Webber, and Katie Kelley registered first place in 2:21.78. The group also captured the 200 freestyle relay (2:02.91). Other first-place Crusaders were Blatchford (200 individual medley – 2:26.04; 100 butterfly – 1:07.15) and Kelley (100 backstroke – 1:24.44).

The Tanners took care of business in Salem. Peabody’s Ava Ryan, Brielle Broughton, Sophia Galbiati, Taylor King, and Tiffany Dang all played well, according to head coach Stan McKeen.

The Crusaders made light work of the Cardinals in a dominant win. Fenwick was led by Neilson (25 points, 8 steals and 6 assists) and Boyle (12 points, 7 rebounds). Jenkins (9 points, 5 rebounds), Maddie McMillan (6 points), and Jane Koulopoulos (7 points, 5 assists) also contributed.
