The City of Peabody has launched a dedicated section of its website to help residents access food resources.
The new resource hub includes information on local food pantries, monthly free meal calendar, community meals on the North Shore, Council on Aging lunches for seniors, and statewide programs like WIC and the Project Bread Food Source Helpline.
“Peabody is fortunate to have a number of resources and strong partnerships to ensure our residents can access the food and nutrition they need,” Mayor Ted Bettencourt said. “With the uncertainties around SNAP benefits and the ongoing federal government shutdown, we anticipate that demand will increase significantly.”
To access the food resource guide, please visit the city’s website at www.peabody-ma.gov and click the red tab titled “Food Resources.”
