The Peabody 12-year-old All-Stars were honored with a ceremony hosted by Mayor Ted Bettencourt Jr. at City Hall Sept. 4.
The team truly had a summer to remember. It reclaimed the District 16 title, won the league’s first Section 4 championship in 28 years, and enjoyed the third longest tournament run of any Peabody Little League team since its founding some 70 years ago.
“It was a great celebration of team-sports excellence Thursday evening at City Hall,” Bettencourt said. “Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families of the District 16 champion Peabody Williamsport All-Stars.”
“It was such a great run and I am so proud of these boys,” said Manager John Hoffman.
Members of the team are Tyler Garcia, Nolan Murphy, Chris Harris, Matthew Gurliaccio, Jack Hourihan, Wesley Weed, Jaxson Hoffman, Adam Grant, Lukas Downey, Caleb Dube, Seamus Park, Declan Peterson, Manager John Hoffman and coach Mike Harris.
