Unwrap the magic of the season and take a bus ride to celebrate “the most wonderful time of the year” in the Big Apple this winter with the Peabody Recreation, Parks & Forestry.
Spend the day sightseeing, attend New York’s world class museums, taste mouth-watering foods, check out the all-out-madness holiday displays on Fifth Avenue or visit one of Broadway’s exciting shows.
The two tour date options are Saturday, Dec. 6 and Saturday, Dec. 13. The trip is $100 per person and includes a luxury motor coach – which has DVD, WiFi and bathroom amenities – an emailed map of New York City and an emailed list of winter attractions.
Each trip will depart at 6:30 a.m. from the Torigan Senior Center, but Peabody residents who participate are asked to arrive by 6:15 a.m. to ensure an on-time departure. Participants will arrive in New York at Rockefeller Plaza around 11 a.m.
After enjoying a day in New York, trip participants will depart from St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 6:30 p.m. to be back at the Torigan Senior Center around 11 p.m.
Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult; all arrival times are subject to change depending on weather and traffic conditions, and an optional gratuity for the driver is not included.
Registration will open at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, and seats fill quickly. If spaces remain, non-resident registration will open on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
