Peabody 12s escape Wyoma, punch title game ticket

July 8, 2025 by Joey Barrett

Wyoma’s 12-year-old Little League All-Star squad dropped a meeting of undefeated teams Wednesday (July 2) evening in the District 16 tournament. Peabody escaped, 4-1, at Swampscott Middle School to punch its ticket to the championship game this Thursday at 5:45 p.m.

Talk about providing early pressure. Peabody raced to a 3-0 cushion in the first inning and kept the opposition relatively quiet from that point on.

A Peabody highlight was when Seamus Park loaded up a homer to deep left-center field.

Jack Nardone drove in Wyoma’s lone run, scoring Tristan Duvert who had singled to lead off the second inning. Dante Duval (2B) and Jacob Schipilliti had Wyoma’s other hits.

Wyoma’s Cole Dobbins pitched well in defeat, going 5 1/3 innings and allowing five hits and three earned runs while striking out five Peabody batters.

Peabody stayed perfect at 3-0.
