Saturday, May 31

Arrest

Ronald A. Mason Jr., 47, of Rockdale Park, was arrested at 10:18 a.m. for a charge of unlicensed operation of motor vehicle.

Mohammad A. Hossain, 45, of Averill Street, was arrested at 4:53 p.m. for charges of reckless operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, operator us improperly.

Fraud

A report of fraud at 1:13 p.m. at the Police Department on Allens Lane. Investigated.

Motor Vehicle Accident

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 10:25 a.m. on Lowell Street at Russell Street. Investigated; a report at 12:20 p.m. on Lowell Street. Caller reported an accident with no injuries. Investigated; a report at 3:15 p.m. on Andover Street. Investigated; a report at 4:53 p.m. on Washington Street. Arrest made.

Motor Vehicle Stops

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 12:28 a.m. on Central Street at Main Street, 12:45 a.m. on Russell Street, 2:36 a.m. at Big Y Plaza on Lowell Street, 8:27 a.m. on Lynnfield Street at Ravenwood Road, 10:18 a.m. on Foster Street at Birney Street, 1:33 p.m. on Jubilee Drive, and 4:26 p.m. on Washington Street.

Traffic Hazard

A report of a traffic hazard at 10:57 a.m. on Lowell Street. Caller reported a light stuck on red on the left turn lane. Taken.

Vandalism 

A report of vandalism at 3:59 p.m. on Washington Street. Caller reported a juvenile with a ripped out bus sign. Could not locate/GOA.

Wire Down

A report of wires down at 7:05 p.m. on Coleman Street. Callers reported a tree knocked down and took power lines down. Removed hazard.

Friday, May 30

Animal Control

A report of animal control at 8:04 a.m. on Rose Circle. There was an all-white husky with a collar. Area check performed; a report at 8:10 a.m. on Wheeler Street. Caller left a voicemail regarding a dog posted on Facebook. Services rendered; a report at 8:59 a.m. on Essex Center Drive. Services rendered.

Larceny

A report of larceny at 4:09 p.m. on Fulton Street. Services rendered.

Motor Vehicle Accident

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 10:51 a.m. at Red’s Kitchen and Tavern on Newbury Street; a report at 12 p.m. at Salem Country Club on Forest Street. Caller reported a golf ball went through his car windshield. Investigated; a report at 2:44 p.m. on Andover Street. Caller reported a two-car accident.

Motor Vehicle Stops

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 2:22 a.m. on Lynn Street at Tuckers Court, 2:35 a.m. on Lowell Street, 2:42 a.m. on Washington Street, 10:13 a.m. on Lynnfield Street, 11:16 a.m. on Sylvan Street, 1:25 p.m. on Lowell Street at Columbus Road, and 4:24 p.m. on Warren Street at Smidt Avenue.

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 2:49 p.m. at Spinelli’s on Newbury Street.

Thursday, May 29

Anthony J. Teal, 26, of Lowell Street, was arrested at 4:41 p.m. for charges of a number plate violation to conceal ID, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, and other department warrant.

Jardel Ribeiro Pessoa, 23, of Washington Street, was arrested at 7:18 p.m. for charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and obstructed/nontransparent window.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 10:59 a.m. on Newbury Street. There was a verbal dispute between a male and female over missing tools. Investigated; a report at 11:!3 a.m. at Homewood Suites on Newbury Street. A female party called to report a disturbance between mother and coworker. Investigated.

Fraud

A report of fraud at 10:33 a.m. on Allens Lane. Services rendered; a report at 7:12 p.m. on MacArthur Circle. An unknown party opened a Verizon account under the caller’s name. Investigated.

Motor Vehicle Accident

A report of a motor vehicle accident (hit and run) on Pulaski Street. Investigated.

Motor Vehicle Stop

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 12:21 p.m. on Lowell Street, 1:14 p.m. on 128 North at 114, and 7:18 p.m. on Sylvan Street.

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 11:53 a.m. at Higgins Middle School on Perkins Street. A note was found after the budget meeting. Investigated.

Suspicious Motor Vehicle

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 1:59 a.m. at A One Market on Central Street. Investigated; a report at 4:41 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Peabody on Newbury Street. There was a scam involving taking money to sell a vehicle but not providing the vehicle. Arrest made.

Wednesday, May 28

Fraud

A report of fraud at 3:48 p.m. at Ulta Beauty on Andover Street. Investigated.

Motor Vehicle Accident

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 5:39 p.m. at Michael’s Limousine Company on Lynn Street. It was a two-car accident with no injuries. Services rendered.

Motor Vehicle Stops

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 1:28 a.m. on Main Street, 2:59 a.m. on Central Street, 11:51 a.m. on Summit Street, 5:09 p.m. at St. Adelaide’s Parish Center on Lowell Street, and 6:12 p.m. at Peabody Dog Park on Perkins Street.

Suspicious Activities

A report of suspicious activity at 12:05 a.m. on Washington Street. Caller reported two juveniles in the area making noise and knocking over barrels. Could not locate/GOA; a report at 1:38 a.m. on Main Street at Howley Street. Services rendered; a report at 12:01 a.m. at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School on Lowell Street. There was an issue with a student. Investigated; a report at 6:49 p.m. on Pearl Street. Caller reported two vehicles parked out front of her home for two hours. The vehicle was waiting for AAA. Services rendered.

Suspicious Motor Vehicle

A report of a suspicious motor vehicle at 2:07 a.m. on Newbury Street. Officer spoke to an individual in the vehicle, who was just resting. Services rendered.

Unwanted Person/Guest

A report of an unwanted person/guest at 12:11 p.m. on Andover Street. Caller reported a male made threats towards her. Investigated.

Vandalism 

A report of vandalism at 7:12 a.m. on Crane Brook Way. Caller reported possible attempted break in to his vehicle. Investigated.

Tuesday, May 27

Arrest

Casey Louise Madruga, 34, of Curtis Street, was arrested at 11:03 p.m. for charges of trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl, possession of a Class B drug and possession of a Class C drug.

Christopher Paul Fountain Jr., 35, of Farley Avenue, was arrested at 11:03 p.m. for charges of a drug warrant and possession of a Class B drug.

Assist Citizen

A report of citizen assistance at 9:30 a.m. at the Police Department on Allens Lane. Investigated; a report at 2;04 p.m. on Forenza Road. A male was standing in front of TD Bank requesting officers to assist him to talk to his family about guardianship. Services rendered.

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 12:01 p.m. on Newbury Street. Could not locate/GOA.

Disturbance/Party/Music

A report of a disturbance/party/music at 12:13 a.m. on Prospect Street. There was a noise complaint at the top floor penthouse. Services rendered.

DPW Callout

A report of a DPW callout at 3:38 a.m. on Brooksby Village. There was a dead rabbit. DPW notified; a report at 3 p.m. on Elm Place. DPW notified.

Graffiti

A report of graffiti at 8:26 a.m. at Brown’s Pond on Lynn Street. Investigated; a report at 9:07 a.m. at Metro Bowl on Foster Street. Investigated.

Harassment

A report of harassment at 4:36 p.m. on Washington Street. Female reported harassment via text messages. Investigated.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

A report of a motor vehicle accident at 8:19 a.m. at St. Johns School on Chestnut Street. Minor accident. Investigated; a report at 10:39 a.m. on Lowell Street at Perkins Street. Accident with possible injuries. Investigated; a report at 5:32 p.m. at Acura of Peabody on Andover Street. Investigated.

Reports of motor vehicle stops at 6:50 a.m. at Peabody District Court on Lowell Street, 6:57 a.m. on Winona Street, 7:23 a.m. on Roosevelt Avenue at Harrison Avenue, 11:16 a.m. at Daniella’s Restaurant on Cross Street,
