May 20, 2025 by For The Weekly News

Following a two-month investigation into suspected narcotics activity, the Peabody Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at 103 Central St., Apartment 211, resulting in the arrest of two individuals on multiple drug-related charges.

Members of the Peabody Police Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by the Peabody Police Patrol Division, and Salem K9 served the warrant at the residence.

The operation led to the arrest of William G. Stanton and Jennifer Stanton, both age 51, of Central Street.

The Charges for the two individuals were trafficking a Class A substance, four counts of possession with intent to distribute Class B substances, two counts of possession with intent to distribute Class C substances and two counts of possession of Class E substances.

During the search, investigators seized evidence consistent with the distribution of narcotics. The investigation was initiated in response to community complaints and surveillance operations.

Peabody Police Chief Thomas Griffin stated: “This investigation reflects our department’s ongoing commitment to addressing illegal drug activity and keeping our neighborhoods safe. We are grateful for the collaboration between our officers and the continued support from our community.”

Both individuals were transported to the Peabody Police Department for booking. Both parties will be arraigned at Peabody District Court.

Anyone with information regarding drug activity is encouraged to contact the Peabody Police Department at 978-538-636 or detectives@peabodypolice.org.
