Rec Department is hiring for summer

April 22, 2025 by Isaac Green

The Peabody Recreation Department is now hiring for a variety of seasonal positions and is also inviting local youth to apply for its Leader in Training (LIT) program.

Designed for students in grades 8 through 10, the LIT program offers participants hands-on experience in leadership, team-building, and community engagement. Applicants will work alongside staff in a growth-focused environment while gaining confidence and real-world skills.

Open to ages 16 and up, staff positions include opportunities to work directly with children and support summer programming at parks and facilities across the city.

“Our LIT program is a great way for young people to take that first step into leadership,” the department said in a statement. “We’re looking for motivated, passionate individuals who want to make a difference and grow.”

To apply, visit the department’s website or email completed applications to PeabodyRecreation@gmail.com.

For more information or to donate, follow Peabody Recreation on social media or visit their official page.
