The Peabody girls track team won an exciting, hotly contested track meet at home over the Beverly Panthers 76-60 on April 9.
Alessandra Forgione set a school record in the javelin with a throw of 136′. She also won the discus.
Makayla Kokonezis was also a double winner, taking the triple jump and high jump. Other Tanner winners included Ava and Leah Buckley in the 2 mile, Maddy Halloran in the shot put, Jane Haight in the 1-mile run, Lauren Foley in the 400M, Ella Braz in the 800M, the 4X100 meter relay (Kayley Bunn, Makayla Kokonezis, Tamara Kemigisha and Avani Ingham) and the 4X400 relay (Avery Marcus, Braz, Foley and Ava Champigny).
Other outstanding performances were turned in by Ava Gonzales (second in the shot put), Kayley Bunn (100m hurdles), Tamara Kemigisha (100m dash), Sofia Schirripa (mile) and Haight (800m).
