Peabody Spring Cleanup scheduled for April 26

April 8, 2025 by For The Weekly News

Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt, Jr., is pleased to announce that the annual Peabody Pride Spring Cleanup has been scheduled for April 26. Volunteers are invited to City Hall beginning at 10 a.m. to pick up free cleaning supplies and then fan out to targeted areas throughout Peabody.

“Many of us who grew up in Peabody remember the deep feelings of pride which came with being part of this unique community,” Bettencourt said. “As Mayor, I have strived to continue that sense of Peabody as a special place to live, work, go to school and raise a family. Our annual cleanup has proven to be a great occasion to get together with family, friends and neighbors and do something positive and constructive towards making Peabody a better place.”

Those who cannot make it to City Hall on April 26 are still encouraged to participate in the cleanup. Simply choose an area of town that needs some TLC and collect litter and debris in trash bags. Then, contact the mayor’s community cleanup hotline at 978-538-5700 or email mayor@peabody-ma.gov with the location of the bags. Department of Public Services personnel will come to pick them up.
