The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that it will be implementing a temporary closure of the Kristen Crowley Rail Trail at the I-95 overpass (Lowell Street) entrance in Peabody. Work began on March 20 and will conclude on Friday.
The Rail Trail closure is necessary to allow the contractor to safely and effectively perform bridge repairs and other incidental items of work.
Police details will be in place to direct travelers around the affected area, and appropriate signage and messaging will be provided during work operations.
All scheduled work is weather-dependent and subject to change without notice.
The work is being conducted as part of a project to perform bridge repairs and related work along Kristen Crowley Rail Trail at the I-95 overpass.
