Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt, Jr., has announced a series of free curbside yard waste collection dates this spring.
“With spring beginning next week, my office has received several calls from residents looking for help in getting rid of dead leaves and brush,” Bettencourt said. “In response, I have scheduled a series of free curbside yard waste collection days beginning the week of April 14th.”
During the week of April 14th on their regular trash pickup day, residents may leave their yard waste curbside in paper bags or barrels. No yard waste in plastic bags will be accepted. Residents should note that haulers may pick up regular trash first and return later in the day for yard waste. There is no charge for curbside yard waste collection.
In addition to the week of April 14th, Mayor Bettencourt scheduled three additional curbside yard waste pickup days as follows: the week of April 28th, May 12th, and June 2nd.
