NORTON — 2024 Peabody High graduate Mimi Batista struck gold Saturday during Wheaton College’s postseason qualifier meet in the Beard Field House.
Batista, a freshman, sophomore Jessie Dickson (Southbury CT), freshman Inez Medeiros (Fall River), and sophomore Camille Connors (Woburn) won the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 1:49.78.
A second-team Northeastern Conference All-Star in 2024, Batista also finished seventh in the 400m (1:03.90). Batista and the Lyons return to the track Friday in the New England Division 3 Indoor Regional Championship at The Track at New Balance in Boston (11 a.m.).
