The deadline to apply for the $3,000 George and Rachel Shaw Scholarship is Friday, March 21.
Eligible applicants must be Peabody residents who have completed or are currently completing their sophomore year of college. They must be enrolled full-time, carrying at least 12 credits per semester. The scholarship is administered by the Peabody Historical Society.
Applications are available at 35 Washington St. or online at https://peabodyhistorical.org/. Applicants must submit a personal letter detailing their financial need, contribution to college costs, and career goals. A résumé outlining education, accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and community involvement in Peabody and college is also required.
The scholarship is funded by Sylvia Foster Marble in honor of her parents, George and Rachel Shaw.
