Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce now accepting scholarship applications

Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

February 4, 2025 by For The Weekly News

The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that applications are now open for its 2025 Scholarship Program. This year, the Chamber will award two $3,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are pursuing higher education in either a business-related degree or a field within STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), including medical fields.

“Supporting the next generation of leaders and innovators is a priority for the Chamber,” said Deanne Healey, President of the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce. “By investing in local students, we’re helping to strengthen the future of our community and inspire young minds to achieve their goals.” This initiative reflects the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce’s commitment to supporting our future workforce, made possible through the generosity and support of our valued members.

Eligibility Requirements:

The PACC Scholarship is available to any Peabody resident or non-resident who is a graduating senior who plans to major in business, STEAM (including medical), and meets at least ONE of the following criteria:

  • Attends a school in Peabody.
  • Is a Peabody resident who attends school in another city.
  • Employed by a Peabody Chamber member business.
  • Parent/legal guardian is the owner or an employee of a PACC member business.

The award recipient will be determined by the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce. Eligible scholarship recipients will be required to participate in a short interview with the selection committee, providing an opportunity to demonstrate other skills or talents not covered by the transcript or essay. The date and time of the interview will be determined by the Chamber of Commerce and will occur during the month of May. Only scholarship recipients will be notified via mail approximately one week after the interview.

Scholarships will be awarded directly to the honoree upon presentation of a PAID tuition bill or payment plan accepted by the school.

How to Apply:

Interested students can download the scholarship application from the Chamber’s website at www.peabodychamber.com/pacc-scholarship-program/

All application materials must be received on or before April 4, 2025. Recipients will be announced in May and recognized at an upcoming Chamber event.

The Chamber encourages all eligible students to take advantage of this opportunity and looks forward to reviewing the inspiring applications from local talent.
