LoConte Memorial Ice Rink in Medford saw six goals, but none from the home team. In a dominating display PLNR took care of business behind goals from Shirley Whitmore (2), Chloe Gromko, Alexa Pepper, Grace Allen, and Mia Lava.

Captain Mia Lava led by example in this one, scoring two goals to lead visiting PLNR over Beverly. Chloe Gromko tucked the first goal of the game, while Maura Flaws and Sydney Zizza also played well, according to coach Michelle Roach.

St. Mary’s boys hockey team cruised, 5-0, over traditional archrival Bishop Fenwick. They’re now 10-3-1, 5-1 in the Catholic Central League, and No. 9 in the most recent MIAA Division 1 power rankings.
Cole Alexander recorded his first point, while Matthew Smith Jr. and eighth grader Connor Anderson combined for the shutout.
Joey Calder, Stephen Nason (2 goals), Drew Waters, and Cam Marchand compiled goals, while Marchand, Colton Carpenter, Chase Collins, Finn Racki, Cole Alexander, Jaiden Driscoll, and Jayson Avery delivered assists.

Logan Bowen’s hat-trick lifted the Panthers to victory at Endicott College in Beverly. Ryan Frary and Brandon Barone ripped goals for Peabody-Saugus-Swampscott.

The Tanners couldn’t protect their home court against the Chieftains. Despite the loss, head coach Thad Broughton said he was “very proud” of his team’s effort.
Jariel Tolentino led the way for Peabody scoring 21 points while Thad Broughton Jr. scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds. Mark Mendonca finished with five points and six rebounds.

The Spartans kept on rolling with a double-digit victory over conference rival Bishop Fenwick. St. Mary’s have yet to taste defeat and are currently 13-0.

The Crusaders protected home court against the Panthers. Fenwick’s Nate Alder scored a team-high 17 points, while teammate Damon Mataragas added 13 to help propel the Crusaders.
