The Peabody-Essex Tech swimming and diving team defeated visiting Gloucester, 96-84, Thursday at the Torigian Family YMCA.
James Teague won three events: the 100 breaststroke (1:13.00), the 200 individual medley (2:26.75), and the 200 medley relay (2:03.23) alongside Mia Koulopoulos, Charlie Wise, and Ambrose Teague.
Wise won the 100 butterfly (1:12.07) with Koulopoulos placing second (1:15.06). He also placed second in the 200 individual medley (2:37.03). Ambrose Teague won the 100 freestyle (58.34) with Aidan Rosell finishing third (1:03.14). Koulopoulos also placed second in the 100 backstroke (1:12.01).
Dylan Wellington (2:16.19) and Justin Nelson (2:23.94) placed second and third, respectively, in the 200 freestyle. Wellington also finished second in the 500 freestyle (6:03.79).
Aiden Cusick finished second in the 50 freestyle with a personal-best time of 26.54. Ben Almeida also had another personal-best time of 33.90.
The 200 freestyle relay of Aidan Rosell, Cusick, Jake Deob, and Patrick Connors placed second (1:52.54).
The 400 freestyle relay team of Wise, Wellington, Ambrose Teague, and James Teague finished second (4:09.07) in a very close race.
