BOSTON — Senate Assistant Majority Leader Joan B. Lovely (D-Salem) is pleased to announce that $25,000 in grant funding has been awarded to the 2nd Essex District as part of the FY’25 Festivals & Projects grant program.
Ten organizations in the district were awarded $2,500 grants to support organizations that celebrate, preserve, and inspire creativity. These grants fund activities that provide public benefit using the arts, humanities, or sciences.
“These grants provide funding that allows members of our community to take part in a diverse variety of cultural and creative experiences right where they live,” Senator Lovely said. “Thank you to the Massachusetts Cultural Council for your dedication to creating enriching experiences across our Commonwealth.”
The organizations receiving funding include:

- Beverly Main Streets
- Punctuate4 Productions in Beverly
- Amazigh American Network Organization in Peabody
- North Shore Community Development Coalition in Salem
- Paul Madore Chorale in Salem
- Salem Arts Association
- Salem Human Rights Coalition
- Salem Jazz and Soul Festival
- Salem Main Streets
