Peabody Police Logs Oct. 30 – Nov. 3

Sunday Nov. 3

Animal Control

Animal control report at 12:11 p.m. on Redberry Lane. Party walked in to report she has custody of a cat found in the area.

Suspicious Activity

Report of suspicious activity at 10:31 a.m. on Rockway Road.

Caller reports an unknown party in the house. Investigated; report at 12:20 p.m.on Batchelder Avenue. Caller reports a male party driving a white Chevy  drinking a beer. Could not locate.

Saturday, Nov. 2

Arrests

Jake Mastromarino, 29, of Willowbrae Drive, was arrested for a charge of disturbing the peace after a report of a male party hitting his mother’s face with a door and fleeing the scene intoward Cortland Street, at 2:30 a.m. on Bragg Street.

Alex River Edmunds, 35, of Beverly, was arrested for charges of operating under the influence of liquor, improper turn, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation, and failure to stop for police, at 8:27 p.m. on Lowell Street.

Daniel Antonio Bettencourt, 25, of Central Street, for charges of operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation, after an office attempted to stop a motor vehicle at Washington Street and Allens Lane at 11:24 p.m. 

Summons

A summons was issued to Tomorrow Briddell, 32, of Randolph, for operation of a motor vehicle with a suspended license, uninsured motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation, after a motor vehicle stop at 9:28 p.m. on Newbury Street.

Assault

A report of assault and battery at 1:17 a.m. 

Disturbance

A report of a disturbance at 1:15 a.m. on Main Street.

Suspicious Activity

A report of suspicious activity at 2:09 a.m. on Andover Street.

Thursday, Oct. 31

Suspicious activity

A report at 1:25 a.m. from a caller at 2 Hancock St. at 148 Washington St. who said a male party has been staring at his house. A girlfriend called back to report the boyfriend has left the house and chased the party on foot. Police spoke with the party and the man on a bike has left the scene.

Disturbances

A report at 1:49 a.m. at 2 Corrine St. from a caller who said a female party is a diabetic with low blood sugar who is not responding well. The patient was transported to a hospital.

A report at 7:30 a.m. at 3 Lowe St., Apt. #2 from a party who said her friend said a couple above her had been arguing since 5 a.m. Peace was restored.

Hit and run

A report at 7:09 a.m. at 19 Paleologos St. from a caller who said her motor vehicle was hit overnight while parked. Officer to document.

Assist citizen

A walk-in report at 7:17 a.m. from a party who said there was a possible blackmail incident.

Wednesday, Oct. 30

Disturbances

A report at 1:18 a.m. of loud music at a Tracy Street apartment. The resident said the music will be turned down.

Another report at 2:40 a.m. of loud music at the same Tracy Street apartment.

A report at 12:43 p.m. of a disturbance between a resident at Fairweather Apartments, #204, 20 Central St.

Assist merchant

A report at 12:59 p.m. from a caller about a party asking for money at an Eastern Bank ATM, 37 Foster St. who was bothering people. Police could not locate.

Motor vehicle accident

A report at 7:50 a.m. of a minor motor vehicle accident at 37 Aborn St. Officer assisted with paperwork and will document the crash.

Vandalism

A report at 8:57 a.m. of vandalism to a motor vehicle at Peabody High School. There is no suspect at this time.

Suspicious activity

A report at 12:32 p.m. from a caller who witnessed an unknown party tampering with license plates in the parking lot at Fairweather Apartments, 20 Central St. Officer will document.

Neighborhood dispute

A report at 4:43 p.m. of a neighborhood dispute over parking at 7 McIntire Court. Police advised the parties it was a civil matter.

Larceny

A report at 5:14 p.m. from a caller who said her wallet was stolen from her shopping cart while shopping at Big Y Foods, 637 Lowell St. Officer will document.

Summons

Olga Barror, 67, 12 Crowninshield St., Apt. #324 was summonsed on charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

Threats

A walk-in report at 8:50 p.m. from a person who reported an incident that happened with his brother recently. The party was advised of his 209A rights.
