It was the Tanners’ final regular season game, and they fought to a draw against a solid Melrose team. Alessandra Forgione secured another shutout in net.
“Cara Corriveau played great on defense, as did Madi Barrett,” said Peabody coach Andrew Douglass. “Connie Patturelli and Ally Bettencourt linked together a few times to create some chances in the final third.”
Framingham 2

In a non-conference matchup, Peabody fell just short against Framingham over the weekend. Bettencourt scored a dandy in the second half after a smooth corner-kick delivery from Brooke Lomasney.
“Connie Patturelli was strong in the midfield for us and created some great scoring opportunities before we were finally able to break through,” Douglass said. “Alessandra Forgione had a great game in net. Madi Barrett, Marley Loring, Gabby Meola, and Cara Corriveau were solid in the back against a great team, which kept us under pressure for a significant portion of the game.”

Catholic Memorial 34
St. John’s Prep 0
Five defensive takeaways will typically do the trick – such was the case for host Catholic Memorial on Saturday. The Knights took down powerhouse St. John’s Prep, 34-0, with Jackson Tucker and Liam Conlon going home with interceptions. Add 244 yards rushing from do-it-all Mekhi Dodd, and that would do it.
