A month into the season, and the St. John’s Prep football team remains perfect (4-0). The Eagles cruised, 28-0, past La Salle (Rhode Island) at Glatz Field in a Saturday matinee. Deacon Robillard ran for 1- and 2-yard rushing scores to lead the hosts.
Gael Garcia hauled in a 46-yard touchdown pass from Chris Vargas, while Lucas Pelletier took an interception 28 yards to the promised land to round out the scoring. Jeff Quigley led Prep’s ground game with 15 carries for 112 yards and Pierson Scala took charge of the aerial attack with a 59-yard reception.
Talk about a versatile offensive attack – seven Eagles caught passes Saturday afternoon.
