Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt Jr. announced dates for free curbside pickup of leaves and other yard waste. Curbside pickup of leaves and yard waste is scheduled for the weeks of Oct. 7, Oct. 21, Nov. 4, Nov. 18, and Dec. 2.
During these designated weeks, on their regular trash pickup day, residents may leave their leaves and yard waste in paper bags or barrels. No yard waste in plastic bags will be accepted. Please note that haulers may pick up regular trash first and return later in the day for yard waste. There is no charge for curbside leaf collection in Peabody.
Residents may also take yard waste to the Department of Public Services at 50 Farm Ave. any weekday during regular business hours. The Department of Public Services is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
