BOSTON — Senate Assistant Majority Leader Joan B. Lovely (D–Salem) announces the opening of FY25 Local Cultural Council grant applications across several communities in the Second Essex District. These grants, supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, provide vital funding for projects that enhance local arts, culture, and humanities.
“These grant opportunities are essential for fostering creativity and cultural engagement in the district,” Lovely said. “I encourage local artists and organizations to apply for these grants and take advantage of the opportunity to share their projects with our communities.”
The Peabody Cultural Council has $32,600 in grant funding available to support public arts and cultural initiatives that engage the community. Applications are open to local individuals and organizations with projects that benefit the residents of Peabody and enrich the cultural wellbeing of the community, with priority given to the first two submissions this cycle.
“These projects provide local individuals and organizations the opportunity to enrich lives and bring vibrancy and pride to our communities,” Lovely said. ”I am excited to see how the awarded grants will be used to further enhance our local cultural landscape.”
Applications are due Oct. 16. Lovely encourages all eligible residents and organizations to participate in these valuable opportunities to support and grow our local cultural landscape. For more information or to apply for these grants, visit www.mass-culture.org.
