The Kaplan Estates Assisted Living celebrated eight residents who recently turned 100 years old, or older, on July 25.
Alice Wallack, Jennie Ruggeirio, Adrienne Arkun, Adrien Arkun, Betty DeAngelis and Barbara Cantor turned 100 years old; Karen Stumpf turned 101; Marie Cassidey turned 103; Kay Morocco will turn 104 in August; and Rose Regis will turn 110 years old in November.
Morocco ballroom dances every week at the Peabody Senior Center wearing high heels and “insists on using the stairs at the assisted living instead of taking the elevator so she can ‘keep fit for ballroom dancing,’” a newsletter from Kaplan Estates reads.
“These residents are such a special group of individuals. It’s wonderful to see their zest for living every day to the fullest. Each individual brings such warmth, humor, and joy to our campus. They are proof, every single day, that life over 100 can be active and fulfilling. We are so fortunate to have such inspiring individuals living at Kaplan Estates,” Executive Director Andrea Hillel said.
