Alliance Health at Rosewood hosted its Classic Car Show fundraiser last Wednesday.
For the second year in a row, Alliance Health hosted a series of fundraising events, splitting proceeds evenly between the Alzheimer’s Association and the Rosewood Resident Fund, which is spent on events for the residents, Director of Admissions and Marketing Stacey Lynch said.
Last year, Alliance raised just more than $800 and its goal was just to raise more this year, she said.
During the month of June, which is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, Alliance Health hosted a flower bar, a Father’s Day barbeque, and offered raffle baskets for the month, Lynch said.
She said the car show fundraised $700 and totaled $2,100 for the month.
“Alliance Health at Rosewood celebrates Alzheimer’s Awareness month each year with much compassion in our hearts. Our team is all dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors, and those residents and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease,” Executive Director Stephanie Bruno said. “Events, such as our annual car show, bring our residents back in time, to stir up fond memories and engaging topics of conversation. It allows us to bring our Rosewood community together with the Peabody community. Donating each year to assist in funding research for this heartbreaking disease is very near and dear to each and every one of us.”
