Registration for the Peabody Youth TV Program’s summer Video Production Club is now open. Returning and new participants will get a chance to learn video production skills over the course of 12 weeks or a week-long summer program.
“Club members will be able to experience each role of production — from sitting in the director’s chair, to operating state-of-the art switchers, to framing the shots as the camera operator, to being the star,” according to the Peabody Recreation website. “They’ll even make some green screen magic occur!”
Returning participants will start creating right away, learn advanced techniques, and learn about external audio equipment. New participants will learn how to write scripts, edit, and capture shots.
The location is at 81 Main St. For third- to fifth-grade students, the dates are from July 8 to July 12, and for sixth- to eighth-grade students, the dates are from July 22 to 26. Both sessions run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fee for residents is $225 and $235 for non-residents.
