Arrest made in decades-old Peabody rape case
Darrell Lavoie, 59, of Nashua, NH, was arraigned in Essex County Superior Court on charges of aggravated rape, rape, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and breaking and entering, stemming from an incident that occurred in 1991, in which the victim was allegedly blindfolded and raped at knifepoint by an unidentified male assailant.
Teacher to ride 100 miles to honor Matt Brennan
The sixth grade class at Higgins Middle School has raised $100-200 in honor of their beloved science teacher Matt Brennan, and social studies teacher Vinnie Raponi is participating in the Best Buddies Challenge to raise additional funds for the program.
